Trini said earlier that she wouldn't believe she was leaving the hospital until the wheelchair came to get her.
Thursday afternoon, 5/29 at 4 p.m. the wheelchair arrived and Trini was discharged from Martin Memorial Medical Center after 24 days. It was a tearful send off from Room 303.
She is home now trying to rest and recuperate. It is still very important to protect her from germs and to limit visitors.
She gets a visit each day from her home health nurse, Bennett, and has lots of doctors appointments, pills and treatments to keep track of. If you would like to visit, please call her to arrange a time.
Your thoughts and prayers are very encouraging to her. Thank you for all of them and keep them coming.

Dear Trini,
After being unable to access your blog for more than a week, I was finally successful last night. I was ready to e-mail you at the hospital this morning, but HOORAY! you are home! There truly is no place like it. Rest well and gather strength.
In spite of my inability to connect on the blog, my heartfelt prayers and thoughts for strength and healing have been with you since I learned of your illness.
It is so heartening to see you and your wonderful families together, and to know that you are so cherished, cared for, and supported during this difficult time in your life.
I still have a macrame bracelet that you made for me when I was your Scout leader. I am carrying it with me now...not sure why, just makes me feel more connected.
Keeping you close in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.
Hugs,
Jean
It is great to hear that you are at home recovering; I understand the part about not being able to sleep in a hospital.
You are still in our prayers!

Hey Trini,
Congrats on the home coming. I am so proud of you and your amazing strength. I would love to visit you, but don't want to overwhelm you and of course we want you to stay strong. What has Luke been up to ? Benny is done with school Thursday and he will do Patty's Jazzercamp next week. Its from 12:30-3:30. If Luke is available next week Thursday or Friday for a play date we would love to do something with him. Let me know. As always you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love Robin- 6929171 or 5613732982
