Take a Deep Breathe and Exhale

Those were the words the doctor used as he pulled out the fourth and final chest tube at noon today. The x-ray of the lungs looks great!

We all would love to have a grand celebration, but what would a celebration be without some good food. At present, Trini continues to struggle to keep down any food. She had her third round of chemo on Tuesday and is very happy to be home trying to regain some energy.

Trini, I am so happy to hear your final chest tube has been removed, I have heard they are very uncomfortable to say the least. Keep on fighting...you are such a warrior. We love you and hope to see you soon. -Ginger

Trina, I've met you on a few occasions while getting chemo. I know your mom from Dr Vopals office and have kept up with your iprovements through your blog (which I didn't even know what that was at first) and visiting with her. This has certainly been a long journey for you and you are in my prayers. I've been in this battle since 10/06 myself and know how mentally it can beat you down if you allow it to. I admire your stamina and see how blessed you are to have a wonderful supportive family. My family sees me so strong but without the Lord I am very weak. Stay strong and know we will beat this thing.
God Bless you,
Audrey Zydowsky

Trini and Tami...
Want you both to know that you are in my prayers daily as you persevere together as sisters. I can see how precious you are to each other.

Trini, may you know a peace that passes understanding as you journey through this week.

Hi Trini, it's Eva Dombrowsky. I saw Luke last week at the Anderson graduation. He is so tall and handsome, same sweetheart as always. Stefan was graduating. I chatted with your friend and she told me about your blog. I actually got the address from Patti Mitchell. I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to track you down and finally connect. You have been through so much since I last saw you. I read through your entire blog and watched your video - it was great to see your face and hear voice. Since you left Bridges we have really missed you in our lives. We will always be so grateful for the great loving care you took of Stefan during those trying months. By the way, you'll be interested to know that he is now 6'1" and heading off to South Fork next year.
Trini, I cannot tell you how often I have thought of you and now I pray for you every day. Your friends are so right, you are such a warrior. I pray that God continues to give you strength, perseverance and peace. He loves you so much and is always at your side.
Glad to hear that you are at home after your long sojourn in the hospital. It's not a very restful place. I know that you surrounded by those who love you. I hope your pain and discomfort are managed.
We attend church up in Port St. Lucie now at St. Andrew Lutheran. If you are ever up to it, I would like to come and see you. I know that many people say it, but I truly mean that if there is anything you need, I'm there.
god bless you, Trini.
love and prayers,
Eva
