An Update One Year after Saying Good Bye

Dear Friends and Family,

This is a bittersweet day as we remember Trini. We continue to miss her. We wish she were here. It is only now that I am able to truly admire my sister for how brave she was. I am now realizing how much of a daily struggle she went through for several years, being in so much pain, being so ill and so afraid but being so brave for all of us.

As always I start with Luke because Trini would…

Spring is here and that means baseball. It is Luke’s favorite sport. It appears that he is getting better as he gets older; last Saturday he hit a triple. Luke is in 5th grade at Our Redeemer Lutheran School. This month he is participating in a walkathon to support his school. Today, he will participate in Track and Field Day. Luke has a Facebook page and an email address so I guess you would say he is a typical 11-year-old.

Brett continues to work at Quality Golf Cars. He takes an active role in all Luke’s school and sporting events.

Terri ran in the “National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer” in February sponsored by the Mayo Clinic. She did very well and received a trophy for her efforts. Some of the family have been talking about walking again in a Breast Cancer fundraiser this year.We all have good memories of walking together in Atlanta -- not all of us enjoyed the camping part -- but the memories were worth every step.

As always, Mom and Dad enjoy having Luke visit when he can. Luke looks like his Mom and has many of her mannerisms.

Thank you for your continued interest in Trini’s family. May your life be impacted today because you knew my sister, admired her cheerful and helpful nature, as mine has!

Sincerely,

Tami
